amazing opportunity

So as I mentioned earlier, God is so amazing and has provided me with an amazing opportunity with a building company, McNeill Burbank. I nannied for a family this past summer and the dad is a builder for the company and asked for my help with some design and marketing work they were needing done for their model home. So for the past month I've been able to accessorize several spec homes and design marketing materials for their model home pictured below. Yesterday was the grand opening for the all green community in Chapel Hill called Briar Chapel. I was out there yesterday in this beautiful model home where several things I helped create are displayed. So check out the pictures below. It's a beautiful home!!

They are a great company which pays great attention to detail and creates craftsman like homes. I lvoe the custom feel of their homes as well as all the details inside like the hard wood floors, built-in shelves, 9' ceilings and much more...

I created the pieces hanging on the walls which express the company's passion for details.
I also created the design studio sign and displays hanging as well as some brochures and other materials.

A hint of fall

So, we had a little hint of fall this past week which was amazing! I can't wait for the cool weather and colorful trees! I apologize again for not posting a lot the past couple of weeks. God has been so gracious in providing me with a great job which I'll post more about soon. So we've both been busy busy! But trust me, we're both sitting here listing fun things we hope to post about soon....so don't give up on us!

James here, with my first post on our blog...

Well, the name of our blog is Childish Things and on Friday night/Saturday morning, we lived up to our name. Though we're both 23 (and 1/3), we're certainly not too old for a little adventure every now and then. So along with our good friends Ben and Lindsey, we 'forked' our friends Daniel and Danielle's yard from approximately 2:00-2:30am on Saturday morning.

Not much new....

So no that was not the cupcake we actually ate on our sixth month anniversary :)...though it is a yummy looking cupcake. I was very tempted the other day to get one of the amazing Carolina Cafe cupcakes, the ones with the blue icing..yuuummm. I mean look at those things...how do they get the icing so perfect? So sorry we haven't posted in a while. Not much is going on.

6 months!

Yesterday we celebrated our 6th month anniversary. It's so hard to believe how fast time flies!
