our second home

Welcome to our new home! It's not so new anymore but we are loving apartment living. It's a one bedroom so it's pretty small but the perfect size for the two of us! We had a lot of fun decorating it the first weekend we moved in. James was a dream and hung all the pictures so well! It's been great to not have to worry about a yard and we feel so cozy and happy in our new place. It's getting cold so we'll be able to build a fire soon in our fireplace:) I can't wait!

a few fun finds

So as we said in our last post that last weekend we had the best time shopping around antique stores. Some of our stops included Revival Antiques off of Capital near Five Points, and The Brown Bird in downtown Five Points. We found these two cute wreaths like the one below. I love how they aren't your traditional Christmas wreath and couldn't wait till December to display it so there it is sitting on our mantel..both of them! I might hang them in between our stockings when the time is right!
We had also been looking for a basket just like this one to put our mail in. I read that you should decorate around your habits. We are constantly dropping our mail in this exact spot on the console table and so I thought we might as well have something cute to put it in!
This was a fun find, an old post card holder. At camp meeting we sing out of song books and this one I have from a while back. It was one that was falling apart so we displayed a hymn from one of the torn out pages.

My wife is so talented

I wanted to take this post to brag a little on my wonderful bride. She recently took some photos for work and they put them on the main page on their website! They've got a cool flash rotation of the pictures and you can see one of the signs she designed on the right. So awesome..

I know we've been a little slow in the blog world recently but we'll try to get better coming up. We've had a lot of fun recently though. Last weekend we went to some cool antique shops and found a few cool little things for the apartment and then got to go to NOFO with my parents for lunch. We'll put up some pictures tonight..
