duke univ. day trip

So I've never been to Duke's campus which is completely crazy considering it's only 30 min. away from Raleigh. So a while ago James and I decided to go and just walk around the campus and pretend we were really smart doctors! We had so much fun and I just couldn't stop taking pictures of the beautiful architecture. We actually ended up pretending we were really smart doctors...in another country, because it totally felt like we were in Europe or Scotland. James also made a little friend:)

So sad....memories lost

So when James and I were sophomores in college we started dating, and for his birthday I made him this scrapbook of all the notes and memories we had leading up to our relationship. I went to an old used bookstore and bought an old dictionary. I glued pages together and created the scrapbook. It was really cool and had actual notes, ticket stubs, song lyrics..etc...and WE CANT FIND IT! I'm so sad and am praying so hard that it's in a box somewhere safe and sound. :( So I was going through pictures and saw this and thought of it...please show up dear scrapbook!

Beach House

My amazing friends Teresa and Paula went to Teresa's beach house for a few days where we relaxed and had a wonderful time! I love these girls so much so thought I would post about them. Sadly we didn't bring a camera so here is an oldy from sophomore year in college. Crazy how time flies by. Love em to death!

looking way back....

Since we were "looking back" to our engagement, I thought we would look way way back to when James and I were in our "friend" stage of things. This was one of the first times just the two of us hung out our freshman year of college. There is a park next to campus that we walked to between classes and ended up taking a bunch of funny pictures. Though he knew but I didn't at the time....we were totally meant for each other...and I more than agree!

we hardly ever had a picture with the two of us together...but we have our feet! So in love!

looking back....

Yesterday we celebrated James' 24th birthday and I was looking through our pictures and thinking about how wonderful he is and came across these wonderful pictures that our wedding photographer and friend Krystal Mann of Mint and Sage photography took of us the fall before our wedding. What I love about these pictures is that in every single one he's smiling or laughing and making me smile and laugh. He's such a wonderful husband and I'm so thankful for him! Happy Birthday James!

we're back!

So we know that this might be how some of you guys are feeling towards us right now, us having not blogged for about 3 months. We have no real excuse but want to say that a lot has happened! We had our one year anniversary and I am now 24 :( ...and in 3 days James will be 24! So please don't stop checking in on us..we want to try and be better about updating...so scroll down and enjoy the update! Love you guys :)

and more birthday....

So since we didn't get to spend the day Friday together, James took me to wake forest where we had tea at my favorite tea room and then went next door to my favorite store! We had so much fun dilly dallying around and taking fun pictures! We left from there to go meet James' family at a park where we played games on a blanket!

A Happy Birthday!

how i feel about turning 24! errrr...

What a happy birthday I had on April 17 when sweet James took a 2 hour lunch break to take me out to eat at Southpoint. We had a marvelous lunch at Cheesecake factory and then enjoyed the beautiful day walking around the shops :)

one year!

James and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on March 1st! It's so so hard to believe that a whole year has gone by and that this time last year ( aka..2 months ago) we were getting married! We have had such an amazing and fun first year of marriage and are so thankful that God brought us together :) Though the weather was kinda rainy we had a blast spending Friday night at our friend Teresa's families beach house, and then coming back to Raleigh Saturday night to stay at the new Renaissance Hotel in North Hills. It was so fun being in the amazing hotel, getting room service and watching Slumdog Millionaire ( which is a great movie if you haven't seen it!) So much fun!

yay for marriage!
